On Wednesday the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced that two terrorist attacks have been foiled against the militia positions in the southern region of Idlib and the northern region of Aleppo, and dozens of terrorists were eliminated.

Earlier the sources of al-Maydeen reported that the Syria Army laid an ambush for a group of the “Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām” at the az-Zāwiya Mountains front to the south of Idlib and killed all its members.

The sources explained that the group was advancing towards the positions of the Syrian Army at the lines of Ma‘rat Mawhaṣ and al-Barīğ to the northwest of Kafr Nabl at the az-Zāwiya Mountains.

The sources pointed out that a group of the “Turkestani Party” tried to cover the retrieval of the corpses of the organization and fell in an ambush, which resulted in deaths among their lines before they withdrew from the ambush.

As for the details, sources of the al-Mayadeen net said that a group that belonged to the ‘Amr ibn al-‘Āṣ Battalion – which belongs to the “Hay’at Taḥrīr aš-Šām” – was advancing towards the positions of the Syrian Army at the lines of Ma‘rat Mawhaṣ village, while another towards the lines at al-Barīğ village to the northwest of the city of Kafr Nabl in Southern Idlib, right at the time of the sunset prayers on Tuesday night.

The sources added that the Syrian Army spotted the movement and carried out an ambush against the first group at the lines of Ma‘rat Mawhaṣ and let it get close to one of the positions, than the troops of the Syrian Army opened fire on the group and linked all its members.

The sources continue that the second group that belonged to the Turkestani Islamic Party tried to open another front at the az-Zāwiya Mountains frontline to cover another group of the organization trying to retrieve the corpses. While it did retrieve some, the Syrian Army managed to take custody over the others.

According to the sources the clashes continued at the az-Zāwiya Mountains front for several hours and the armed groups did not manage to reach any breakthrough, while their losses were big according to the sources on the ground.

The sources approximated the number of casualties of the first group to more than 12 armed men, while the losses of the “Turkestani Party” are not known, not the second group that got involved to retrieve the corpses.

The Syrian Army carried out heavy strikes with artillery and missiles against the whole supply line of the armed men at the az-Zāwiya Mountains front, while at the same time combed through the lines of Ma‘rat Mawhaṣ and al-Barīğ.

The pages of the armed men on the X platform posted the names of 6 men said to had fallen during the clashes with the Syria Army at the az-Zāwiya Mountains front to the south of Idlib, while the body of some of them remained on the battlefield.

أعلنت وزارة الدفاع السورية، اليوم الأربعاء، إحباط هجومين إرهابيين على النقاط العسكرية في ريفي إدلب. الجنوبي وحلب الشمالي والقضاء على عشرات الإرهابيين.

وفي وقت سابق، أفادت مصادر الميادين، بأنّ الجيش السوري أوقع مجموعة لهيئة “تحرير الشام” في كمين. على محور جبل الزاوية جنوبي إدلب وقتل كل عناصرها.

وأوضحت المصادر أنّ المجموعة كانت تتقدم باتجاه نقاط الجيش السوري على محوري معرة موخص. والبريج شمال غرب كفرنبل في جبل الزاوية.

وأشارت المصادر إلى أنّ مجموعة من “الحزب التركستاني” حاولت التقدم للتغطية على سحب جثث. قتلى الهيئة، فوقعت في كمين أسفر عن قتلى في صفوفها قبل أن تنسحب من المكان.

وفي التفاصيل، قالت مصادر الميادين نت إنّ مجموعة تابعة للواء عمر بن العاص -تابعة لهيئة “تحرير. الشام”- كانت تتقدم باتجاه موقع للجيش السوري على محور بلدة معرة موخص، وأخرى باتجاه محور بلدة البريج. شمال غرب مدينة كفرنبل جنوبي إدلب، وذلك لحظة أذان المغرب أمس الثلاثاء. 

وأضافت المصادر أنّ الجيش السوري رصد التحرك، ونفّذ كميناً بالمجموعة الأولى. على محور معرة موخص، وسمح لها بالاقتراب نحو أحد المواقع، إذ فتح عناصر الجيش السوري النار. على المجموعة وقتل كل عناصرها. 

وتابعت المصادر أنّ مجموعة ثانية تابعة للحزب الإسلامي التركستاني حاولت فتح جبهة أخرى. على محور جبل الزاوية للتغطية على مجموعة أخرى للهيئة كانت تحاول سحب جثث القتلى، إذ سحبت بعض الجثث، فيما تمكن. الجيش السوري من سحب بعض منها.

واستمرت الاشتباكات -بحسب المصادر- على محوري جبل الزاوية عدة ساعات، لم تحقق فيها الجماعات. المسلحة أي خرق، وكانت خسائرها كبيرة، وفق المصادر الميدانية. 

وقدّرت المصادر عدد قتلى المجموعة الأولى بأكثر من 12 مسلحاً، فيما لم تعرف خسائر “الحزب. التركستاني” والمجموعة الثانية التي تدخلت لسحب الجثث

ونفّذ الجيش السوري ضربات مكثفة بالمدفعية والصواريخ على كامل خطوط إمداد المسلحين على محور جبل. الزاوية بالتزامن مع حملة تمشيط على محوري معرة موخص والبريج. 

ونشرت صفحات للمسلحين على منصة “إكس” أسماء 6 مسلحين قالت إنهم سقطوا خلال الاشتباكات مع. الجيش السوري على محور جبل الزاوية جنوبي إدلب، وبقيت جثث بعضهم في أرض المعركة
