President of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Burhān inspects the General Army Command headquarters in Khartoum and vows to crush the “Rapid Support” and apprehend its fighters.

President of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council and General Commander of the Armed Forces ‘Abd al-Fattāḥ al-Burhān confirmed that the Sudanese Army will work on crushing the “Rapid Supoort” Forces and apprehend its fighters in every corner of Sudan.

While inspecting the General Command headquarters of the Sudanese Army on Sunday in Khartoum along with the senior military commanders al-Burhān praised the “resilience and the sacrifices of the soldiers who defended the General Command for 20 months”.

He also underlined the importance of continuing the operations that the Sudanese Army had been waging in other parts of the country, including Omdurman, Baḥrī and al-Fāšir.

On Friday the Sudanese Army announced that it succeeded lifting the siege that had been imposed by the “Rapid Support” Forces on their command center in the middle of Khartoum, which signals a possible turning point in the war that had been going on for around two years.

أكد رئيس مجلس السيادة الانتقالي في السودان القائد العامّ للقوات المسلحة، عبد الفتاح البرهان، أنّ الجيش. السوداني سيعمل على القضاء على قوات “الدعم السريع” وملاحقة مقاتليها في كلّ ركن من أركان السودان.

وأشاد البرهان، خلال تفقّده برفقة كبار القادة العسكريين مقرّ القيادة العامّة للجيش السوداني في الخرطوم أمس. الأحد، بـ”صمود وتضحيات الجنود الذين دافعوا عن القيادة العامّة للجيش لمدة 20 شهراً”.

كما شدّد على أهمية استمرار العمليات التي يخوضها الجيش السوداني في أماكن أخرى من البلاد، بما في ذلك. أم درمان وبحري والفاشر.
