Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Muḥammad al-Ḥalbūsī says that the relations between the political powers in Iraq must be normal and pointed out that the decision of his resignation which the Parliament will look over had not been discussed with anyone, knowing that it has many temptations.
Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament Muḥammad al-Ḥalbūsī reveals that the decision of his resignation that the Iraqi Parliament will look over in its next session on Wednesday had many temptations, but he hasn’t discussed its content with anyone. He also confirmed that the relations between the political forces must be normal.
Al-Ḥalbūsī said during his speech at the events of the forum of those promoting the dialogue in Baghdad on Monday that “the decision of resignation was not addressed with anyone”, adding that “this step always tempted me”.
About the political crisis in Iraq, he commented it saying: “the relations between the political forces must be normal and these are much more like the crises we must close down”.
He confirmed that the decision of his resignation “did not complicate the next parliamentary session”.
This comes after the Sputnik news agency reported that the Iraqi parliament will have its next session on Wednesday to vote on the resignation of al-Ḥalbūsī and elect the representative of the parliament.
The correspondent of al-Mayadeen in Baghdad earlier on Tuesday said that the resignation of the Speaker of the Parliament will be refused during the next session of the parliament on Wednesday and confidence will be granted to him.
At the beginning of the month, al-Ḥalbūsī called for including in the work schedule of the National Dialogue setting the date of the early parliamentary elections and the election of the provincial councils not making it later than the end of next year.
On 7 September the Iraqi Federal Supreme Court responded to the motion handed in by a number of leaders of the aṣ-Ṣadrī Movement that called for the dissolution of the parliament suspending this as the dissolution of the parliament is not within its prerogatives. 23 September the Secretary-General of the Aṣā‘ib Ahl al-Ḥaqq Movement aš-Šayh Qays al-Hazz‘alī said that all forces of the Conciliatory Framework agreed to the early elections in order to appease the aṣ-Ṣadr Movement“.

رئيس البرلمان العراقي، محمد الحلبوسي، يقول إنه يجب أن تكون العلاقة بين القوى السياسية في العراق طبيعية، ويلفت إلى أنّ قرار استقالته، الذي سينظر فيه مجلس النواب، لم يناقشه مع أحد، علماً بأنه راوده كثيراً
كشف رئيس مجلس النواب العراقي، محمد الحلبوسي، أنّ قرار استقالته، الذي سينظر فيه البرلمان العراقي، خلال جلسة يوم الأربعاء المقبل، راوده كثيراً، لكنه لم يبحث في مضمونه مع أحد، وأكد ضرورة أن تكون العلاقات بين القوى السياسية طبيعية.
وقال الحلبوسي، في كلمة ضمن فعاليات ملتقى الرافدين للحوار في بغداد، اليوم الإثنين، إن “قرار الاستقالة لم أتداول فيه مع أحد”، مضيفاً أن “هذه الخطوة كانت تراودني دائماً
وبشأن الأزمة السياسية في العراق، علّق قائلاً إنه “يجب أن تكون العلاقة طبيعية بين القوى السياسية، وهذه العلاقة شابها كثير من الأزمات، التي علينا أن نُصفّرها
وأكد أنّ قرار استقالته “لن يعرقل جلسة البرلمان المقبلة
يأتي ذلك بعد أن أفادت وكالة “سبوتنيك” بأنّ مجلس النواب العراقي سيعقد جلسة، يوم الأربعاء المقبل، للتصويت على استقالة الحلبوسي، وانتخاب نائب لرئيس المجلس.
وأفاد مراسل الميادين في بغداد، في وقت سابق اليوم، بأنه سيتم رفض استقالة رئيس مجلس النواب العراقي، خلال جلسة مجلس النواب الأربعاء المقبل، وسيتم تجديد الثقة به.
وكان الحلبوسي دعا، مطلع الشهر الجاري، إلى تضمين جدول أعمال جلسة الحوار الوطني تحديد موعد للانتخابات البرلمانية المبكّرة، وانتخاب مجالس المحافظات في موعد أقصاه نهاية العام المقبل.
وفي 7 أيلول/سبتمبر الجاري، ردّت المحكمة الاتحادية العليا في العراق الدعوى المقدَّمة من عدد من قيادات التيار الصدري، والتي تدعو إلى حلّ مجلس النواب، مُعَلِّلةً ذلك بأنّ حل المجلس ليس من اختصاصها. وفي 23 أيلول/سبتمبر، أعلن الأمين العام لعصائب أهل الحق، الشيخ قيس الخزعلي، موافقة كل قوى الإطار التنسيقي على الانتخابات المبكّرة “من أجل إرضاء التيار الصدري
