The Grand Mufti of Oman, Aḥmad ibn Ḥamad al-Halīlī emphasizes that there cannot be a bargaining about the al-Aqṣā Mosque and confirms that its liberation is a holy duty.
The Grand Mufti of Oman, Aḥmad ibn Ḥamad al-Halīlī said that “the liberation of the the al-Aqṣā and what is around it is a debt upon the shoulders of the whole [Islamic] nation which is mandatory to be redeemed”.
He confirmed in a statement that the nation, “if it was not granted by the conditions and destiny was not permitting it, still it cannot bargain on it”. He added “instead they have to appeal in the matter to the faith of God, so that God grants what it favors to fulfill this duty”.
The statement by the Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman comes after his country announced its support for the step for normalization, which the Emirate did, and for announcement of a “peace agreement” with “Israel”.
The official spokesman of the Omani Foreign Ministry said that Muscat “supported the decision of the state of the United Arab Emirates about its relations with Israel in the context of the historical announcement between itself, the United States and Israel”.
There was a mutual American-Emirati-Israeli statement announced on Thursday that American President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Abū Zabī Crown Prince Muḥammad ibn Zāyid agreed on “full normalization” of the relations between the Emirates and “Israel”.

قال مفتي سلطنة عُمان، أحمد بن حمد الخليلي، إن “تحرير الأقصى وما حوله دين برقبة الأمة جميعاً يلزمهم وفاؤه
وأكد في بيان، أن الأخيرة وإن “لم تواتها الظروف وتسعفها الأقدار فليس لهم المساومة عليه بحال”، وأضاف “إنما عليهم أن يَدَعُوا الأمر للقدر الإلهي، ليأتي اللّٰه بمن يشرفه بالقيام بهذا الواجب
ويأتي بيان مفتي سلطنة عُمان، بعد إعلان بلاده تأييدها للخطوة التطبيعية التي قامت بها الإمارات، بإعلانها “اتفاق السلام” مع “إسرائيل
وقال ناطق رسمي باسم وزارة الخارجية العمانية، إن مسقط “أيدت قرار دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة بشأن العلاقات مع إسرائيل في إطار الإعلان التاريخي المشترك بينها وبين الولايات المتحدة وإسرائيل
وكان بيان أميركي إماراتي إسرائيلي مشترك، أعلن الخميس أن الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب، ورئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو، وولي عهد أبوظبي الشيخ محمد بن زايد، اتفقوا على “تطبيع كامل” للعلاقات بين الإمارات و”إسرائيل
