Israeli aggression against the Qatari capital Doha and a leadership member confirms the survival of the Ḥamās negotiating delegation after an Israeli assassination attempt.

On Tuesday a leadership member confirms to al-Mayadeen the survival of the Ḥamās negotiating delegation after an Israeli assassination attempt in Doha.
The source pointed out that the planes of the Occupation had targeted the headquarters of the Ḥamās Movement in Doha.
According to the joint statement of the Occupation’s “army” and the “Shabak”, the Israeli “army” in cooperation with the “Shabak” service launched airstrikes against the Qatari capital Doha, in which it was confirmed that the aim of the attack was to target the supreme leadership of the Ḥamās Movement, who had been leading the organizational activities for years and were directly responsible for the operation on 7 October 2023.
The Occupation named the aggression as: “The Zenith of Fire”.
The Israeli “Channel 12” stated stated that the airstrikes targeted the negotiating delegation of Ḥamās, while they were discussing the latest American proposal in Doha.
The Israeli channel quoting an Israeli official added that American President Donald Trump gave the green light for the attack against the Ḥamās leadership in Qatar.
The channel continued saying: “The Americans are controlling the Qatari airspace and therefore Israel must cooperate with them”.
An Israeli official talked to the Israeli “Channel 13” that the attack “targeted the Ḥamās leadership in Qatar, including Halīl al-Ḥayya and Zāhir Ğabbārīn”, however, the source of al-Mayadeen confirmed the survival of the Ḥamās delegation, as it had been stated.
The Reuters news agency reported that explosions were heard in the Qatari capital, pointing out that smoke was rising in the skies of the Katara district.
Qatar condemns the Israeli aggression: we will not underplay the desperate Israeli behavior
On its own behalf Qatar condemned the Israeli attack with the harshest terms ghat had targeted residential blocks, in which a numbers of the Ḥamās Movement’s Political Office live in the Qatari capital Doha, describing this as criminal aggression and blatant violation of all international laws and norms.
The Ministry [of Foreign Affairs] confirmed that the aggression represents a dangerous threat to the security and peace of the citizens and the residents in Doha.
It underlined that it will not underplay this desperate Israeli behavior that is threatening its peace and its sovereignty. Also that the investigations are ongoing on the highest level and more will be announced about the details, as soon as they are available.
In this context the Ḥamās has confirmed that through mediators it has received some of the American ideas about how to reach an agreement that would lead up to a ceasefire, underlining that it welcomes any real move that will enable ending the continued aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
