It should e mentioned that the Jordanian monarch, King II. ‘Abd Allah after 5 days announced an unprecedented crisis in a letter aimed at the Jordanians saying that “the recent events is a strife in which parties from inside and outside have taken part”. Thus confirming that “Prince Ḥamza is with his family under my supervision”.
Former Jordanian Crown Prince Ḥamza ibn al-Ḥussayn confirmed that he was not responsible for any coup operations in the country, finding it strange that his criticism for the policies in Jordan led to his detention and the detention of his personal guards.

وفي وقت سابق أمس، زار العاهل الأردني، الملك عبدالله الثاني، برفقة الأمير حمزة بن الحسين وعدة أمراء، الأضرحة الملكية بمناسبة مئوية الدولة، وذلك في أول ظهور لهما سوياً بعد الأزمة الأخيرة
يذكر أن العاهل الأردني الملك عبد الله الثاني، أعلن بعد 5 أيام على أزمة غير مسبوقة في رسالة وجهها إلى الأردنيين، أن “الأحداث الأخيرة فتنة شاركت فيها أطراف من الداخل والخارج”، مؤكداً أن “الأمير حمزة موجود مع عائلته وتحت رعايته
ولي العهد الأردني السابق حمزة بن حسين، أكّد أنه غير مسؤول عن أي عملية انقلاب في البلاد، مستغرباً أن يؤدي انتقاده للسياسات في الأردن إلى احتجازه واعتقال حرسه الخاص
وكانت وكالة الأنباء الأردنية الرسمية “بترا” أفادت في وقت سابق بأن السلطات الأمنية في الأردن اعتقلت مسؤولين سابقين بارزين لأسباب أمنية، وصحيفة “واشنطن بوست” قالت إن الاعتقالات جاءت على خلفية التخطيط للإطاحة الملك عبد الله
